Pinching in PowerPoint

I am having a problem pinching in the presentation mode with Power Point. I can pinch, but it doesn't show up in the presentation itself. It is the only thing I do that doesn't actually show up on the main screen. Any ideas on how I can fix that? I'm not sure what the benefit would be to pinching during a presentation and not having it show up. Any ideas? Thanks!
