When there are multiple IP addresses, how do I determine which IP address to connect to?

Normally, computers on your local network are found and configured automatically, so that you do not need to manually set their IP addresses.  If you are manually configuring a connection using an IP address of a computer, your iPad must be connected to the same subnet/network as at least one of the network interfaces of your computer.  Select the IP address associated with that connection type.

For example, if both the iPad and the computer are connected via a wireless network connection, then select the IP address shown in the Status tab for "Wireless Network Connection," in order to make a remote connection.
